sometimes i wonder certain people are real...meaning,sincerely being nice when they are with you, or just a total pretence? They can be so close to you today, but the next day or the next week become a total different person? Am i just overly sensitive on my part? Why can't we continue from where we left off?

It becomes really difficult to make any friends at work...esp where i am right now.. the politics and the management is so bad, that sometimes saying certain things, without filtering them first will have your ass blasted like no body else's business...many a time, i had to keep my mouth shut, just to prevent myself from getting into such a situation.Can't everyone have their own point of view, without having to get into any serious situation? i mean , where is the liberty?

the people i once considered sincere.... i think i should start to watch what i do or say around them....nothing is the same anymore...do not be overly comfortable with people you hardly know....

work sucks even more than wednesday...i dread work more and more each day...sometimes i wonder why some people just cannot keep their comments to themselves...and why do they want to poke their nose into everything they see?
i just want to do my work well, get paid, and be happy. and they just love to Tai chi everything to me.... work becomes so difficult to handle...i only have ONE ME....and i still have sales targets to hit...sighh....work totally sucks....

Embracing Imperfection

"When I was a little boy, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremelyburnt toast in front of my dad.

I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did wasreach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was atschool. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do rememberwatching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite! When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my momapologize to my dad for burning the toast. And I'll never forget whathe said: 'Baby, I love burnt toast.'

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him ifhe really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said,'Andy, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides-a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!'

You know life is full of imperfect things...and imperfect people. I'm not the best housekeeper or cook.

What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept eachother’s faults - and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences -are the one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing,and lasting relationship.We could extend this to any relationship in fact - as understanding isthe basis of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!

wow.... i watched Transformers 2 yesterday night. and i would say it was FANTASTIC! alot of actions and nice looking people..and damn cool Robots!!! hehe...I had to book the tickets like 4 days in advance...and still it was almost fully booked. impressed! and the thing is, there many time slot yesterday, like almost 2 theatre showing the same movie at the same time slot. I am glad i managed to catch it first hand, with my movie kakis =)))

The year is coming to an end..December is finally here!i've been waiting for this month for the past year...not been an extremely fruitful year for me...but whatever it is.. i will thank God for all the good things that has happened to me for this past year...

i will thank Him for giving me such a wonderful boyfriend...so caring..so loving..so forgiving...and always there for me..most importantly..laughing at my not so funny jokes...=)

three months into my new career...nothing excites me now..nothing...oh well finding new things to bring out the joys in life..=)

anyway today was a good day with the girls..we did something good...something that will give us a peace of mind...felt so relieved after the whole thing...hahha..oh well...after that we went to geri's little sushi shop called iSUSHI at fortune centre...i love the "pregnant fish"...deep fried...so yummy...esp when it is dipped in mayonnaise..yums..the second thing is the tofu skin with crabstick mayo...and last but not least top it up with a glass of ice cold green tea to cool off from the heat..hehe nice...

tmr will be a day of new discoveries...i hope it is a good place...somewhere i can learn more and will at least be exciting...not sitting around doing nothing all day long... i can't waste my youth like that...i must fully utilise it...even when i am working...learning new things everyday...yepp yepp...

last week rather uneventful...although i thought friday would have perk it up a lil...but i was so wrong....halloween everyone dressed up and was even more dressed up than last halloween...but i guess this year i had alot of things on my mind...and plus my friends wasn't around..only celest who was there all three halloweens..maybe i felt a weee bit left out this year..or maybe i've just grown out of it...or maybe in the day i was bogged down by stress at work..and only left office at 7:30pm....sigh...wish work was easier....then again if it was easier...then it wouldn't be work...it would be called fun...or something like that...

i do not know what is next in line for me...i don;t know what is happening tomorrow...i am not sure anymore...even the surest of surest is not sure anymore...i am troubled...worried what is going to happen tomorrow...

wonder where i've been to the past few months?although i've promised that i will update my blog more often?heheh well i've moved on...my career of course! been working hard in improving my CV...welll..not easy..not easy at all...the recent crisis made it even worst...welll must be positive!!! even though the increasing taxi fares, increasing power bills, increasing food prices....

just came back from lovely Rome, italy...this time round i managed visit two new places...the Vatican city and the Colosseum...i tell you...it's just simply wonderful...

been away for a long long week to hongkong and san francisco..it was two lovely places..hongkong is a bustling city...and so is san francisco...

just came back from london not too long ago...went to watched the play LORD OF THE RINGS with geri and this colleague, alicia...it was a really impressive setup...and the effects were damn good....but then again i was tooo tired to watch...so i almost fell asleep at the last part of the play...oh no right....almost wasted my 32.50 pounds

went to Borough market near the London Bridge station...this market is like a gourmet market and like wat mel said..there are many celebrity chefs that visits this place..coolios...and their food is yummy...yummy.y...esp the scallops....it was ultra delicious....mmmm mmmm mmm mmmm mmmm

i finally smelt the TRUFFLE...hehh it's quite strange smelling and looking...very hard...and super expensive....=)

mel was such great fun...she brought me around borough market and then to camden market ...=) so sweet of her....and i totally loved camden market...and this is where i got my vintage BALLY handbag...heh...coolios...loved it to the max!!!!

i just came back from taipei abt 3days back....and i finally had the time to sit down and display some wonderful pictures of my wonderful trip with gerri...=))))

day1:
we took the earliest flight out of singapore to taipei...the 8:10am flight...we were both sooo tire.d... but nonetheless we had a nice fulfilling breky...nice pumpkin and apple soup...and a nice hot chocolate....yums....

yummms......and off we go to taipei with a full stomach...hehhhh...

in the bus to our hotel....

our first meal in taipei....yums....stewed meat rice...fried oyster omelette...carrot cake...stewed eggs...thick soup...and most importantly...my fave bubble te with yummy pearls....

i am satisfied!!!!!!

we went shopping around in ximending...it was whole lot of fun.... but it was raining..really damped our mood by alot....but we managed to get what we wanted....gerri got her photo album...and i got tons of shoes...from just 2 hrs of shopping...hehhh i've beat my own record le!

after shopping...we decided to head to some nail parlour to get our nails done...and finally not in red....hehhh....we totally enjoyed the experience..but.... i was sooo tired from the morning flight... i dozed off halfway during the manicure....hahahhaa.....while gerri watched transformer while having her nails done....

after much shopping we decided to head back to the hotel.... but before we do that ...we cannot miss out on the ZHeng Zhong Mee Sua..yummms....and other taiwanese delicacies....yums....

started our day with yummy lunch at Mr. Brown....hehh....i had nice chicken thigh with rice stuffed in it....cool eh....and gerri had curry spaghetti....and our yummy....soup bread....with stirred eggs inside....yummmsssss....

after lunch ....we walked to the nearest train station to take the tube to Wu Fen Pu....the best shopping place in Taipei ....not forgetting shilin tooooo!!!!!!

yea!!!!!!! on our way to WuFenPu.....yippeee!!

after WuFen Pu...we heard from the locals that there is a nice food market nearby....so we searched and searched...and we found it....LAO HE Night Market!!!!!! it was really good....stufff.....hehhh....yums...we had ma la huo guo....yums....and followed on by ice cream muah cheee.....wooooohooooo!!!!!!

yeah!!!we found wu fen pu....and this was only the beginning!!!!

our steam boat with unlimited flow of wintermelon tea and red tea....which pretty much tasted the same.....and for the first time i had smelly tofu.....ew....and it was by mistake....i tot it was some tao gua....but it was not....it was damn potent... i spat it right out.....ew......sad....i can still smell it in my breathe....hahahaha.. i am so good at exaggerating stuff....

we started our day really late....cos of all the night markets....

but first we must satisfy our stomach with yummilicious pork chop noodles soup...woohooooo.....it was really good... one of the best i've ever had...=)))

so we decided to go to their KTVs....which turned out to be fabulous!!!!! they have a rest room in the ktv room!!!!!!and their small room is like the size of big rooms in singapore.....impressed.....

after singing we headed to Shilin Night Market....yeah!!!! shopping and eating again.... but when we reached the station it started pouring like nobody's business....sob sob....

bumped into ZHANG DONG LIANG halfway shopping....how can i not take a picture with him....

but we had fun though....and another night of pigging out....yumsss...with all taiwanese street delicacies....

day4:

started out day really late....cos we heard of the typhoon..and it rreally dampeded all our spirits...so we decided to go to TAIPEI 101 shopping mall to check it out..since it's gg to rain anyway....hehh...we will just stay indoor....

sighhh....it's time to go home....we really had a good time in taipei..on our way in the cab...gerri and i had this conversation about our whole trip and how we felt about it... i tot it was really nice....finally heading home to face my music.....

anyway we had another drama at the airport...cos we might not be able to catch the plane...and the plane might not take off...cos of the typhoon...anyway everything went smoothly...but it was a really frightening experience....the plane almost couldn't take off....and the plane was shaking so badly even before it started taxiing....goshhh....and when it finally took off....there were several drops during the take off....super scary.... but we were really glad we landed into Singapore safe and sound....a wonwderful trip indeed...high five GERRI!!!!!!!

been helleva boring week for me...started my week with some safety tests that ran for two days..and after which i had a hyderabad..yea...sucks...but happy enuff the moment i reach singapore i bump into my cute friend gerri....had breky.nice to have breky ..cos i hardly do that nowadays...

i am finally back from a terribly long trip...to LAX and Tokyo...immersing myself into both the western and japanese culture...altho it was long.. i totally enjoyed myself....shopping and having fun in the Disneyland in Anaheim...so fun....i only went to the adventure theme park.. i did not see Mickey and Minnie at alll...but it was fun anyway...

I did almost all the rides there... but the one i love most was the Tower of terror...hehh....it's actually a hotel theme ride....the moment i got into the place... i tot my colleague... "we went to the wrong place....we shouldn't be here.... cos we'll be heading to the hotel later....hahaaa" anyway that ride really made me seem like i am in a scary hotel....

not forgetting the most impt item...haha my minnie ears...

wooohoooo!!!! i just came back from Rome this morning...it was really a beautiful experience...i did not go to the Vatican City nor did i go to the Colosseum...i just walked around the city on the first day and on the second day i went to this lil island called CAPRI...in fact this lil island is very famous...but i really never heard of it till the captain mentioned it...i am so glad i made a trip there...altho the stay was really short...like 2hrs?,,the travelling took abt 3 hrs plus plus...but i think the experience of travelling in a foreign land is really an exciting experience..i love it!

i finally found some time to blog abt my last trip to frankfurt...again...yes again...but i absolutely love frankfurt...in general i love european stations...i think their country is just sooo rich in culture...and i swear i did not lie during the SIA interview...the places i want to visit are in Europe...and i only been to two...Athens and Frankfurt...anticipating my next europe flight...which is Rome this coming May 6th...

anyway the last trip to frankfurt i went to a restaurant called VAPIANO..basically sells italian food..super yummy...and i managed to capture some shots in the restaurant...nice...

the menu is basically all in german...but i managed to find one in english...not too bad...they try to cater to non-german customers...

this is the sign board just above the kitchen...my colleague told me..last time they dun even have a menu...have to look at the signboard and make orders from there...so ultra non-german friendly.... this is the display on the table...can u see the herbs on the table...u can actually just pluck them and put them in ur food...they are meant to be eaten..not just to display...clever...

i love how my pasta looked...sooo appetising..
anyway after lunch i decided to head down to the Museum of Modern Kunst..it's a contemporary art museum...i totally love going to the art museum...well...not cos i think i am arty-faty...i just like to see how skillful and creative artists are...not only do they need to develop the ideas behind that art work...they also need to have the skill to create the final artpiece...and i tell u...it's not easy...i am still amazed....

i just recently went for my childhood friend's (eileen) wedding..my gosh..time really flies...we're no longer 10 year olds running around in the neighbourhood after school...we no longer just enjoy a nice sunny afternoon roller blading under the sun...or the 10 cent popsicle that u can get at those mama shops...people change...we all grew older apparently...really missed those days when we all sit down to talk abt how is it like growing up..and we're actually grown ups now...and now eileen has stepped into the next phase in life...getting married...it's such a far fetch thing for me at this point in time..well would love to be like her one day...but apparently no suitable candidate...hahaa...anyone??anyone ??wanna sign up and register urself... guys only...i only want tall fair handsome charming charimatic big eyed smart witty humourous...haha tooo much to ask for?hmmmm well we'll see...no last date of application as yet...hahaa...sighh...wat a beautiful day...saturday...but i am stucked home...ANTICIPATING FOR MY BENGALORE flight....booohooo....wat a day...and my whole weekend is wasted...

i am finally back from KARACHI!it's pakistan if u don't know where it is..well i din take any pictures at all...couldn't be bothered...nto that i dun like that place...just that i think it's probably tooo dangerous to even lug ur camera around...well i am just scared even when i walked the streets with 5 other big man..haha...anyway i had like BUFFET twice in two days in the hotel... i am sooo greedddyyyy...but wel i was a good girl too.. i went to gym twice as well..but so that also means there's no diff...sighhh

some post-dated pictures taken during my recent trip to Frankfurt and New York...New york was freezing...but i finally get to experience the city life in new york and i totally enjoyed the American breakfast..pan cakes and sausages..yums...at this place called BLOOMS..nice nice...

first stop was in Frankfurt...a quiet and beautiful place..that's what i feel abt the place...i enjyo the slow moving traffic...the slow pace...and all..but i still haven't travelled to the art museum to admire the famous artists works. eg Monet and Van Gogh...i will be in awe i believe....

the team i flew with... a really nice set of crew...so friendly and ever ready to lend that helping hand...i totally enjoyed this flight...

have you heard of this story of a boy who once loved this girl so much ..but after they can't stand each others habits and loving style..they decided they should just remain as friends...the man boy continues to meet other people ..and the girl continue to meet other people as well..
one day the boy meets a new girl..the girl is very much interested in him..

one day the boy just told the new girl that he cannot love another..cos he only loved one person in his life...not knowing who this person the boy is talking about ..

on several occasion the boy brought the person he loved out..and also at the same time accepted the invitation of the new girl ..so all three of them were hanging out together...the new girl still do not know that this girl is the girl person the boy once loved..

feeling suspicious...one day the new girl just asked the boy if the girl he brought out the other time was the person he mentioned about.and he said yes.

EVALUATION TIME:

what should the new girl do?
why would he bring all two out at the same time?
what's the hidden agenda?
do you think there's a possibilty of them getting back together..

after my detailed analysis...i came to a conclusion...they will and most likely fall in love all over again...he brought the new girl out to spite the one he loved...or probably still loves..telling her that ..if you don't act fast i might pick someone else instead..well...i dunno...that's just what i think...

i always over estimate my strengths..and who is the one who eventually suffers?well..who else but me...the inability to control..only reflects my maturity level..perhaps i need another 3-4 more years to master that..let's not even talk abt mastering it...let's just mention the word achieve..not full fledge but just there...i wish i get there...i can't take the discomfort that comes after that...

one whom is easily satisfied but yet gets greedy...what a contradicting statement i just made..i am just like that...i can't stand myself at times too..and i can't control and i hate it...

when i probably got what i wanted ...i just drop it cos i just found a flaw ..a harmless flaw in it..and went chasing after something that has a more visible and harmful flaw...what am i doing with my life?i don't know either...

just when i thought my life wil take a turn for the better for the new year...nah...it still sucks this year...maybe i made friends last year and they are carried forward to this year...that's probably the only consolation...well..but with many shit stuck on it as well..flying sucks..it'll prolly get worst..on board i get all kinds of shit..and on land i get even more shit...how shitty can one life's be?anyway i decided i shld brace up and get ready for more shit that is coming my way this year...CILLIA YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

yestday i had a early christmas gathering at weijie's place with the rest of the SIM gang..so fun...roast chicken, bakkuteh, prawns, log cake and wine...heh...

maybe Christmas isn't the season i love afterall..i am always alone on Christmas...Christmas is a season of love, family and friends...but...i think all these three ain't that visible in my life i suppose...i'm always left out...there are always more impt people out there than me...people will just dump me for their "more" loved ones...i don't understand why they are so good at it...don't they know how it feels like to be left out...how can they just neglect my feelings just like that...well...what goes around comes around i guess...every year i anticipate christmas sooo much...and every year i get disaapointed all over again....and i still anticipate it...i still yearn for a nice cosy christmas with companionship of all those i love...it will come one day...hopefully...

back from Adelaide..a not very interesting place...but what's good is that i kinda know how to walk around in the city area!wheee...hehh...it's just a straight route btw....hahaa..my hotel faces a very nice cathedral..really pretty and ancient looking one..and most importantly i finally got a Supre top i've been wanting to buy since my last Sydney flight...heh...been thinking abt something the whole time when i am Adelaide...that i really should not get a fuck abt it anymore...if it comes it will...if it doesn't ..even if i force and burge my way thru...it will never happen...sighh...this is such a pessimistic viewpoint ey...well...sometimes it's just like that i guess...

that question you asked made me feel so uneasy...i felt so uncomfortable...i thought that was not the most important thing...but it seems like to you...now i am so hesitant about staying on...i feel this big gap between us right now...it seems to be widening...it totally caught me off guard...i never expected something like that will come of you...but it did....i am so afraid now...both losing you...and also having you around... i do not know how to face you....i am so ashamed....but it's not like i did something wrong...but by not knowing myself well enough...makes me feel uneasy hanging out with you...cos THAT seem soooo important to you...i just have to search myself first....i miss u already....

last week was a really busy one for me...did my flight to Tokyo and L.A. i shopped so much i think i am going to survive on water and bread soon.....haahha...well cos L.A. have alot of brands i like and apparently they don't have them in Singapore...like Abercrombie and Fitch, Victoria Secrets, Hollister...etc...and their Forever 21 there is so much cheaper than in Singapore and the range is wider....so that means i did not sight see at all...there wasn't much pictures taken...as u can see from the prev post...i did not goto Universal studio...hope i will get to go there the next time in Jan...yup...i am going to L.A. again this coming Jan...it's quite boring actually if u don't like shopping...but oh welll....I LOVE SHOPPING....hahaha....

been an emotional roller coaster ride...i think although i always say i hate it and stuff like that... but i think subtlely i am constantly putting myself in a situation where i am always on the losing end..emotional baggages that constantly weighs down my shoulder...i am a very decisive person...so once my mind is kinda made up at that point in time.. i do not give a hoot abt anything that might happen after that...and this only saddens me later...well i just have to live with the decisions i make in life..

back from NOT SO SUNNY Maldives..had a wonderful time partying and chilling out session...and SNORKELING tooo!!!! (my first experience) didn't quite like the fact that i can't breathe through my nose...hahha...so i felt soooo suffocated in that snorkeling mask...but oh well...a really good experience...and i came to a realisation...that i don't quite like to touch or get near to marine creatures...freaking scary esp. when they swam around me...

i had so much fun today, out with ashley shopping for stuff.. i almost bleed to death anyway ..i finally got my favourite frangrace...although it's not thierry mugler ALIEN.. i got something which is just as good...that is GIORGIO ARMANI 's ARMANI CODE...very nice...been aiming at that for quite sometime...ever since i got to try the sample...wooohooo!!!!
